I'd like to know why I care this much about Xenoblade 1. Is it a good thing or some kind of sign of frustration?
Usually when I go over this, the conclusion I get is that I really liked it, but wish there was more to do in the game. Seems obvious, that's my opinion on a few games, doesn't tell me much.

Don't have it.
Someone lent me a Switch and a handful of games. Didn't get that invested in the others. Felt like Slave Knight Gael finally finding the Dark Soul when I played Xenoblade 1 though.

And one game can't justify a console purchase. And people are saying the Switch is nearing its end. And so on.

I would have liked if there was a post-game. I get the Bionis was destroyed but still, something more than Future Connected giving two of the party members a handful of sidequests and forgetting about the rest.
Walking around, talking to people about what went down. Hearing about what happens next. Quests that aren't as important in the grand scheme of things but are much more fun/more challenging. I've only gotten to see these characters in an extremely stressful time, I'd like to see the aftermath.

As is, it's a game all about changing the future where I barely get a look at the result of all my future changing. Reload a save instead? Hmm.

I don't really like that the party learn the mind bending secrets of the universe and then the game goes "And then it was the end and I guess they all walked it off and they were happy enough... For a while!"

Maybe I hate the ending more than I thought I did.

Because it's an amazing game. It still resonates with me as well.

Xenoblade X was even better IMO (too bad it's stuck on the Wii U so many people can't experience it anymore), with XBC2 and XBC3 being decent games but not as good or memorable in different ways.

The unique world of Xenoblade 1 and the great characters are really memorable, I don't blame TC. I own the Wii original and the remaster on Switch.

I actually have thought about looking for a copy of the Wii version. I don't know how many QoL changes I'd be losing though. Seems like a rough trade.

As for the Switch version, first I'd have to justify buying a whole console that might be at the end of its lifespan and barely has anything else I'm interested in right now.
