Just going by the articles that are coming out, they're saying that Phantom liberty is something you should try playing when you finish the main game which probably means that it won't affect the game until you start it. I think all of the perks and new stuff was released in 2.0 and the expac will just release the story and levels.

I don't think you're going to lose out by starting before PL comes out.

I read somewhere that it does add a new ending though. Not sure if you can get the full experience by just doing Phantom Liberty right before the final mission or what though.

I know but are you really going to get to the end before PHantom Liberty releases?

Just from what I read Phantom Liberty seems to start around the time the main story sends you to Pacifica.. but it's hard to say.

The game runs pretty much the same as it did pre-update so feels like the system requirement update on PC was a bit overblown. It was probably mostly focused on needing an SSD now and if you want to use all the Nvidia graphic effects they added.

The game recommended a SSD at launch. I suspect a lot of people with bad launch experiences used an HDD.

After whatever ending you pick you get put outside the hotel and can either do another ending or whatever else you want. I guess it's assumed to do phantom liberty at that time.

Just started up a fresh campaign. They really bumped up the graphics. I'm only running it on high w/ HDR no RTX and it looks substantially better than what I remember, and it was already a good looking game. I was kind of worried my computer would chug a bit considering the new min specs, but it's running silky smooth

If it helps, the total size (without Phantom Liberty's new content) is 55.93GB. Not sure what it was previously.

I dunked a ton of my points in Cool and Reflexes so now I'm running and air dashing and moving like a maniac with my katana and throwing knives. The ability to see how much damage you'll do with a throwing knife is great. Now I throw one at someone's head, kill them, then air dash over and start slicing everyone up. Lot's of fun! I can deflect bullets and such now too so I'm not as weak as I was in the game previously.

Yeah I know the choices aren't omg revolutionary, but I just did a random mission for a barkeep and his wife cheating on him. Went to follow her, walked in and just said I'VE SEEN ALL I NEED TO SEE, got no more back story and then called the client to tell them it was done. Said IDGAF about what they were doing and you owe me. Guy was disappointed he was just a client and I went about my life.

Micro choices like that are cool and all over the place. Just fun ways to go through missions.

I put some in tech cause I enjoy unlocking doors and such for me being sneaky. And it seems to do more with cyberware now?

Your armor is no longer relying on what you wear. Your armor is based on your tech now. Plus you limit how much cyberware you can put on and it increases based on level(I think its tech level but don't quote me) and you can now upgrade cyberware you have equipped.

basically I think tech is where you can eventually get really freaky with it. There was talk of cyberpsychosis. I like that the armor class is dealt differently now because it means I can wear whatever I want and not have to worry about looking stupid but sadly I won't ever get to see myself...so it sorta feels pointless anyway.

Basically I'm a walking tank that's constantly having my health regenerate as I fight while the armor keeps me from dying too quickly. Plus tech helps with health and grenade...and I'd like to add...something that doesn't get enough notice:

The health pack and grenades are cooldowns and not something you have to find. That's so cool tbh. Instead, you can get different kinds of grenades but you never run out, they just cool down and you can use them again when you're ready. Plus techs allow decrease in cooldown and how many charges of health packs and grenades.

Basically I use contagion and then run in with my bat and take everyone out. Its a total power trip.

Armor seems to actually matter now.
I swear when it was based on clothing no matter how much you upgraded it wouldn't matter and you'd be near death in one hit.

The new police and gang system is amazing, having patrolling cops get into battles with gangs as you're in combat or just walking along is so cool to see, as are the random police chases/car battles that happen from time to time
