I know it was a while ago but what exactly was there to smile about? Thats sick and messed up honestly intentionally knowing you participated in murdering random innocent young individuals just because they were black in the wrong part of town or some bullshit rule they would create on the spot to justify the lynching.

I also wondered in history books how people all joined in to watch people be tortured publicly like it was event in the Middle Ages but now I realize that deep down there is some disturbed aspect of society that is fed by this and knowing that still exists out there in people's hearts even in 2023 just hidden away because its not "socially acceptable" anymore is very scary.

It's one of the reasons I can't take any religion seriously that claims man is created in the image of God. Like ffs man, we are monstrous, what does that say about the nature of your deity?

It's definitely still there, but I don't have the stomach for it either. I don't get any satisfaction from seeing people sentenced to prison, or face the wrath of the public mob, no matter what they've done. I understand that justice is necessary, but I don't get any joy out of it.

These events were treated as carnivals today, with pony rides, snack foods and souveniers. The pictures were all part of it.

I mean, you sick fucks like watching phone cams of people being murdered and mutilated. The only difference between now and then is the technology. People haven't changed much at all.
