13,800,000 down, 889,772,013,994,000....*googleplex digits later*...144 years to go before the heat death of the universe.

And this is only the nine hundred quadrillionth iteration of the universe to have existed.

It will be interesting how you will say the year once we reach the year 10,000. It's easy to say 2022 or 1959 or 3120. Now try 23,550.

The year is 23,550. Humans have transcended time and space.

Back in 15,400 humans evolved into energy. By 15,600, physical objects disappeared.

Yeah it sounds weird.

It's possible that we'd have a new calendar by that point, too.

Doesn't matter if the numbers off by a year or two. The fact remains the year is approximately 13,800,000,000

That's not how relativity works. Every event is simultaneously occurring at the same time. So if you want to use the birth of the universe as the starting point for what year it is, that is only going off of how many years it took from the perspective of Earth.

Somewhere in the universe, the big bang just happened.

Not as weird as the optimism required to think humanity will still be around.

The museum tour guide excitedly showed the group the near complete t-rex skeleton. "And there it is, our world famous tyrannosaurus rex! It is 65,000,003 years old!"

One of the kids in the group was surprised at this. "How do you know the exact age?"

The tour guide smiled. "I was told it was sixty-five million years old when I started working here three years ago."
