The problem with Platinum is too many projects expanding into areas that Platinum is not comfortable with at all. It was happening with Kamiya there so it doesnt really affect that if he leaves. So yeah I dont get where the RIP Platinum comments are coming from, but it might be RIP Platinum anyway. --- I just decided to change this sig. He's the only superstar they have left and if it turns out even he can't make a game of quality under whatever shitshow the company has morphed into then that's pretty much curtains. Kamiya seemed like he got too high up in the business exec sphere too quickly at Platinum. It truly was an indie company when they formed it, and it's not close to that anymore. If he goes off to do more indie stuff that could be really great. Also I always felt that Platinum excelled mostly in their licensed games. Bayonetta is their only truly great IP, and that came from Kamiya's pure manic post-Capcom energy. But MGR and Nier are basically perfect.
