Suprak/FFD/Lopen/Andylt/Swordz - I know that I am very opinionated, and I can be very abrasive when our favorites don't necessarily align, as is the case with quite a few characters that you guys like (even in the course of this very contest). But as always, I do apologize for my attitude, and the fact that you still helped join the Vanille train and pushed her over the edge (that's 50 of her votes right there) means so much. Like I said, you're entitled to like who you like and not like who you don't like! I like Selphie but I know a lot of people don't, so it's fine. I'm just here to save my favorite final fantasy characters and I do like most of the XIII cast, so I wasn't going to anti-vote her. Happy Vanille got the win! It's definitely my fault he died in the Gau year, and if my negligence hadn't killed Mog first this year, it could've happened again. Yeah, this is what I'm saying about it being unlikely Locke gets back anytime soon. Most characters who reach the finals get there through things breaking right for them to make a run, not because they had the backing in place to get there early on. Yay, congrats to Vanille. Amazed at the amount of support she got this contest. Im pretty sure Ive supported her in past contests. Also, I may have saved her some early this contest, but dont remember. (edit: just saw Grimlyns stats. If I saved her 6 times not including finals, it mustve been during the final all the rounds after Selphie was booted. I was at least rooting for Vanille early even if I didnt save her)

This contest was a little weird for me because in the early rounds of the contest, life got super busy, and multiple characters I wanted to go far took hits. Because it was clear early I would have trouble keeping my absolute favorites alive for reasons out my control, I decided to just be more indifferent the results, and not get wrapped up in how far they went. So this contest was much less stressful than normal.
I hardly even participated in any in-round save trades. I never knew when I'd be back to the topic, or how long I could stick around to check the confirmations. For extra saves I had, some of them just went to helping the favorites of folks who had helped my favorites in the past. So I guess in a way, I went with indirect saves. I'm glad we get a final result that makes some people very happy. Actually, I think most potential winners would make some folks very happy, so let's keep 'em coming in future years. Eventually we'll all get a shot to see out favorites win, right? --- ONLY FIVE CAN LADDER. Sushi, kamikaze, fujiyama, nippon-ichi... ... Copied to Clipboard!

No, once he was booted because I was holding my save and refreshing, but I didn't notice a new page had appeared and I continued to not notice for like a couple of minutes. I had a save ready for him but I was being greedy, and that was one of his many boots.

I never expect anyone to pick up the slack but don't care enough about the contest enough to f5 when I'm busy. Whiskey Nick is his number 2 saver and also doesn't care enough to f5 it is a bad combo. So I wanted to have this ready before SMFFFC ended, but I guess this will do. Some people probably know what a Gauntlet is, it's sort of a relic from the past at this point. But I do actually keep one of these gauntlets up to date, and it's the video game character one. I figured it might be fun to share it and my own results, and see if anyone else maybe wanted to play it:
https://i.imgur.com/OyVkYgy.jpg Essentially, a "gauntlet" is just running a program that pits 2 (or 4) characters against one another. You choose the one you like more and they move on. The program randomly selects more characters and you keep picking the ones you like until there are no more characters left. I decided to put in the work and update all the images for Final Fantasy characters I wasn't personally happy with. I also tried to add in anything that was missing from the gauntlet too, which included adding the entirety of Brave Exvius (which was a huge chore). https://www.mediafire.com/file/8d55dbs7035o2hi/VideoGameCharacters.rar/file Basically you just download the file and unzip it; it's a pretty big file because it contains over 38,000 video game characters. Just a few things to note about it. I didn't create the program, I just curate the content. You will need to use a "tag" to run it, the tag for Final Fantasy is just "ff" without the quotations. You will also need to know the exact number of characters that I've tagged with that, which is 1307. So yeah, obviously this is a very inclusive list! You will indeed find Stamp and ?????? here. For the purposes of SMFFFC, the only stuff that isn't going to be there is anything that never appeared in a video game. So no Dad of Light, and no Aki Ross. Square must either not have the rights to do it or don't want to be reminded of the time they lost that much money, because she never even appeared in Record Keeper or Brave Exvius. Anyway, hopefully someone enjoys this. Like I said, despite gauntlets being dead I keep this one relatively up to date (it's current through June of this year right now).
