If you didn't get the alert, it means your number isn't nationally registered, for some reason. I wonder if this is going to become an issue. EDIT: As a mobile developer, I find this especially amusing, since Samsung is notorious for not letting uses change certain settings, such as when your phone turns notifications off. For example, Samsung is notorious for turning off certain functions (notifications being the first) in order to conserve battery power, without informing the user, because Samsung phones prioritize their bloatware above all else, so they'll shut things off without informing you in order to keep their bloatware/surveillance crap running. I ran into this issue as a developer, because we couldn't figure out why our notification QA for an app was getting through on every phone BUT a Samsung, and then, upon research, we discovered why. No, I'm not saying it was. I'm merely saying Samsung giving the option to mute emergency alerts is something they may end up in trouble for doing. My own personal grievances with Samsung were merely an aside. As a mobile developer, I have my own personal grievances with Samsung since they treat developers like utter shit beyond what anybody else has ever done, but that has nothing to do with the current subject.
