I see some people comparing the new Robocop Rogue City demo to Phantom Liberty. That demo is really good.

I tried Cyberpunk some time ago, really don't remember exactly how long ago. I got to like a part where you're suddenly an EMT and then I got to drive a car and wasn't feeling it, turned it off.

If you couldn't even finish the prologue then I don't think you'll notice any improvements from the past two years anyway.

I didn't like how the driving felt and then it dumped me into a combat training digital world that was glitching out.

the only thing I can remember where you do anything EMT-like is in the beginning.

anyway, yea, I think it's a lot better than it was, but it's not for everyone.

but if anything about it interests you, I think you should give it more of a chance.

At surface level, an open world first person game in a 'modern' city with inspiration from Bladerunner should be an incredible game for me. But I didn't really like how traversing the world felt and aspects of the presentation were, grating. Like the music. Also I'm not a big fan for voiced protagonist for an RPG like that, I'm sure it was a better choice than it was in Fallout 4 given the angle of the story, but that's how i feel.

the driving with cars (at least, back then) was annoying, but it was fine with motorcycles, IMO.

with the latest patch, there's some car combat, so hopefully the controls have been improved.

I liked the presentation and music, though, and I don't see any differences there.

i don't think they changed the game, they just made it playable

if you didnt enjoy the concept then you wouldn't enjoy it now.

and it doesnt sound like the only issue you had was with the gameplay.

The game still sucks, combat still blows, driving is still awful, the story is incredibad, theres zero choices or consequences.

Game of the year for me. Its taking all my playing time.

You don't even drive before that combat training thing. The driving does suck tho unless you're in 3rd person. It's absolutely awful in first person.

As someone who tried to play it twice (1st on release, 2nd about a year later) and stopped after the 1st Braindance mission both times, I've given it a 3rd try since the DLC came out and I've been having alot of fun with it. The biggest change for me being the skill trees being redone to actually be interesting and easier to follow.

That said I also have no memory of what the driving was like before, so I can't say for certain if it was significantly improved.

Maybe it's been longer than I thought, I guess I got the order wrong since I started as a corpo, but everything I described happened at some point.

Maybe I was just hard on it IDK. I decided to download it again because I have an unexplainable hankering for an urban RPG experience. If only the game took place in winter

it's also really not a bethesda rpg where the character is more you.

it's more of delving into a person's experiences, even though there's multiple ways to play the character. hence the forced first person and voice acting.

Okaay, the sound that plays when you have the game paused is outright psychotic. It literally sounds like a graphics card spinning really hard in the periphery of your audio space. My headphones are creating noise that sounds like my computer tower is overheating and straining right where my computer tower sits.

So now that I went in knowing how your background transitions to the actual plot I did enjoy the prologue a lot more. I like Jackie.

I think I remember one problem I had was I wanted to use controller for driving but let's be real, FPS kinda sucks with controller.

Scanning feels like it should be toggle, not held. I'm not used to holding down tab for extended time

may install a mod that adjusts gun viewmodel down, I feel kind of silly with my gun out like i'm holding it by my chin

I haven't gotten to where I was in my initial playthrough (like right after the prologue part where you have to meet some dude at a cafe) but the game feels significantly better than I remember.

Still quite a few questionable NPC interactions. I cheesed one of those psycho enemies by getting a little out of their combat arena and just shot them up from cover. Also I think I missed out on a side quest I remember getting in my initial playthrough at your apartment. The one with the cops outside the door. It just wouldn't trigger and the cops would start to get angry at me whenever I got close lol Nightcity baby. Enjoying the hell out of the game tho.
