I remember this. The victim wasn't even talking to the boy. The boy was hanging out for some reason with the adult the victim was telling to leave. I'm sure the victim never expected the 12 year old to pull out a gun

To play devils advocate the government would be incredibly stupid to use all that against its own populace. It would just make them a clear villain on the world stage. Doesn't help they already ain't liked that much.

As long as we can fight back the fact the odds are stacked against us ain't as important. Cause they ain't gonna use full force. I mean they don't even go full force against countries we clearly define as the enemy.

They stop pulling punches against their own citizens and I'd bet money you'd have other countries stepping in. Rather ir be to help or to take advantage of the divide.

all they would even have to do is drive a couple APCs through neighborhoods and shred all the houses with machine guns.

its illegal to own weapons that would actually be effective against the military

A car gets you places and enhances your life. A pool is a great social way to exercise and relax. Those have an associated risk.

Your argument is guns make people safer....while increasing their chances of dying to gunfire. That's not safer. Dying isn't very safe.

They do. You stipulated "with multiple attackers." Real life isn't John Wick.

The bottom line is that the rest of the developed world does just fine without automatic weapons everywhere. Meanwhile the US has an inexcusable number of gun-related deaths. "Nothing can be done," says only country where this happens.

I support civilian gun ownership. But automatic weapons aren't necessary.

Youve gotta be careful with your choice of terminology. The CoD/Qanon/incel/Snyder Cut dorks will try to change the subject from the constant gun violence they enable because you called an AR-15 an automatic weapon.

I'm not even saying this to justify people owning AR15s or anything, but my question is if say Republicans take over the country and start rounding up and executing people, should Americans just sit there and let it happen because of APCs and drones and such? I just don't care for that "well the government will just drone strike your house so any resistance is useless" way of thinking.

I'm not a gun guru so let's not get into definitions and what's technically "this" or "that."

My point is I support having a pistol, or maybe a shotgun. But a battle/assault rifle? That's just overkill, and given their past usage in mass shootings (with the level of mass damage they can inflict), they're clearly more of a liability than anything. If you give a shit about the dead, I mean.

Yeah, people often say nowadays "Democrats need to start arming themselves." They're just far quieter about it than the anti-regulation types. Those people are likely to be on the Republican fascists' side if that ever comes to pass.

you have no idea what you are taking about

way more gun violence is done with pistols than battle/assault rifles. Pull up the number of people killed with semi auto rifles any given year vs pistols

but I thought this was all about safety and statistics though!

Let's just end all the debates and get right to the elephant in the room. The reason America has gun problems is because people living there need guns for the constant multiple attacker home invasions that happens every so often.

Literally no other developed countries had anything remotely close the the amount of gun violence problem the USA has.

So this is just proven:
The USA is just a shitty place and a third rate country to live in
