Part of the reason PS2 was able to be as slim as it did was because it didn't have a motorized cd tray. I would actually save up money for a PS5 with a manual pop down lid. creativeme 10/10/23 8:58:48 PM #53:	is the originals getting marked down to clear out stock? probably not with the demand. they'll still all be gone by christmas. but you're better off just getting the original disc drive one if you can get a deal on it and don't mind it's a bit bigger. on the plus side for those of us that already have a ps5 this doesn't matter to us. at least it's no pro version yet. also what's the point of the digital slim if you have to pay $80 for the disc drive? does the disc drive slim also have a detachable drive or no? but honestly who is really gonna bother to detach the drive? maybe if you travel and want something slightly slimmer to fit in a backpack i guess. but honestly if you want portability that's what a switch is for. --- This is a sig <cite>creativeme posted [p:976588297] in PlayStatio...
