Because Tweets are fucking short and you should absolutely read something in its entirety before you Like it.

If I see a tweet that says "I love penguins!" but then there's more to it, I'm sure as hell gonna read the rest, so that if what follows says "I also love Nazis," I make sure that I don't Like that shit.

It's an excuse. She got called out for her stupid beliefs, and now she's backpedaling because she's facing consequences.

This is my stance. I'd be tempted to believe her if she didn't pull the "btw I was fired for being Jewish" card. Like, if you're truthfully acknowledging what you did was bad/an accident, why would you go to... that?

She is also a public figure and role model since her work is widely viewed by children and adults. This wasn't some private anonymous account this is the same account she uses for work and would like post about a show or promote a kick starter that she mentions. I don't understand why it is so hard to own up to the gravity and responsibility she bares when using the account. It makes it sound completely disingenuous mentioning the judgemental internet.

She should have taken to heart the messaging on supporting Israel and said "I love everyone but terrorists......full stop."

Instead, she went "Actually, it's not my fault, I didn't read the entire Tweet before I liked it." (literally what?)

And then she followed it up with "Well, ackshually, I don't even need to apologize. You just hate me because I'm Jewish!"

So it's not just one tweet, one Like, one instance. It's repeated behavior, from her.
