To a T, supporters of anyone else never brought up political support unless it was directly involved with campaigns they've volunteered on or been staff on as part of their past experience. Trumpers, though? Those fuckers brought him up voluntarily with great regularity even in introductory parts of first interviews. It was honestly stunning and always remained a red flag for a potential employee being a dipshit and not being able to go without talking politics. And to be clear, I'm a conservative ex-Republican. I never gave a shit about political orientations provided that I thought they could do the work. The behavior I've seen from so-called Trumpers is extremely antagonistic and ugly compared to anyone I've seen supporting Biden. I just can't believe how much this country changed in 2020. I remember my gf's mom going to a Trump rally leading up to the last election and she brought back hats and a hoodie that read "make liberals cry again". My gf happened to be wearing that hoodie while we Facetimed one day back then, and we got into a stupid argument over how shitty I thought it was. The best part is she told me she tried to hide from me that she was wearing it, which tells me she knew it was obnoxious and in poor taste. I see Trump 2024 flags in the front yard of a house I drive by every day. I see "Fuck Biden" everywhere (Biden's no saint but the point is I never see "Fuck Trump"). I will say though I've been getting a kick out of Trump's mugshot being plastered on everything. User ID pics for social media, custom t-shirts, etc. And when I told my gf I thought it was funny she defended him by saying "and it's all bullshit too". I changed the subject.
