This article seems a tad, bias...maybe the fact that work is so unrewarding to so many leads to so many having no loyalty to a job? Maybe its because few can have enough to live off of one job that they have to have jobs?

Its rather, distorted thinking that many want to" Retire early" when they also can never afford to retire, other then many just seem to be giving up hope and just surviving off welfare.

They broke society and refuse to take responsibly for making life hell seems more likely to me at least.

Loyalty to a job made sense when houses were like $20,000 and everything was comparatively cheaper and you could find jobs paying $5.00 and hour and build a whole ass family off that one job.

Gone are the days of staying with one company for an entire 40-ye ar career

Also, gone are the days of getting a pension
Also, gone are the days of being able to support a family on a janitor's salary

I've worked for 14 companies in my career so far and finally found one I want to stay with. I've had some really bad work experiences. In my experience, most companies give you no reason to want to stay for a long time.

Actually, in 1965 when houses were median $20,000, people were making like $2.00-$3.00/hr in some trades. But $4,000-$6,000 annually is great when a house costs around $20,000.

That's way better compared to now.

Its worrisome to the future of the ruling class.

Meaning its a good sign and needs to continue.

Bet they were printing news articles about the previous generations as well. Boomers are just too old to remember anything.
