I just want to draw frogs, cute anime girls and the fucked up abominations that I hallucinate when going to the bathroom at night :(

I think one key thing I need to try is listening to music while drawing.

I dont have ADHD, but my attention span is awful if Im trying to concentrate on one thing, music or having something streaming in the background definitely helps.

I did say I would learn to draw just to spite one user here, so maybe I'll join you.

I'm back at my desk again today so not giving up entirely after a single day is neat.

Fuck erasers for being absolute garbage at erasing btw.

But like actually what the FUCK actually erases accurately and well?

I cannot do physical sketching, I'll erase my waybl through the page

Maybe have a livr chat open on screen in front of you or voice chat with some people

I find sometimes having a casual conversation while sketching helps (sometimes)

I hate conversing through chat or most the time really.

Any noise I haven't aimed to have around is deeply distracting.

Draw lighter with pencil for your first pass, until you get an outline you like down.

Oh I have a wide variety of horrors bouncing around my mind.

Normally I need pressure to push me. I often jog to work because I wait too long to leave and go "oh shit"

I set muliple alarms because soon as the noise is stopped my brain goes "time to lay back down" So I need the constant unending stream to ensure I wake up on time.

Rewards work somewhat too. An interesting carrot dangled can motivate.

Dunno how I can apply that to art. Sonething too artifical like a timer won't work. Entirely self directed and consequenceless. Same goes for rewards. Rewarding myself doesn't feel real.

But its not like I have a girlfriend to go "No blowjobs until you show improvement in your foreshortening and shading" or a paycheck riding on learning art.

Fuck. I completly forgot to try music while practicing uuuuuugh

Mostly just done some minor exercises and doodles and looking up info so far.

I drew an awful frog and some decent eyes though. I think eyes are the one thing I can draw pretty decently.

Btw any artists here use Ohuhu markers? Heard they are similar in quality to copic but are much less expensive?
