this. he has been a product manager over multiple fandom properties. he kinda had a promotion if anything and was managing more than gamefaqs, he just stepped down as gamefaqs admin officially

Fandom won't do anything to improve the site. Whatever it is they want to do is bad enough that Allen stepped down, so I wouldn't expect any positive changes.

Curious if the site makes much profit. Outside of the newer game boards, the boards are basically just a relic, so they cannot generate much revenue. So it's really down to whether or not people are still using the FAQs and if people are bothering to write new ones. I feel like Fandom integration would be too much of a pain in the ass code-wise, and the FAQ belonging to the writers means they can't just suck the soul out of them.

It wouldn't take that much to turn a profit. The costs are only the server costs and paying for admins (who's scope IIRC span across multiple sites).

And they got a fresh faced zoomer to replace Allen, so the costs are probably even lower.
