I saw Ward getting to it first and just assumed he was coming down with it, couldn't believe how it played out. Game is still very much in reach, but lots of annoyances

Good call having Moody's back there.

Even if he misses you have to show that confidence.

Bad interceptions on the final two drives for Purdy and that's that.

Another game the Bills "should" win coming up on TNF, but Buffalo's been shaky as hell lately and only gets a short week to try to figure things out. Buffalo could be a .500 team after 8 weeks and that feels kinda wild.

I know Buffalo is injured in key areas but it also kinda feels like their window closed and no one wants to acknowledge it yet

They really need to try to make a trade at the deadline

It feels like it shouldn't be closed yet is the thing that's baffling.

Also, we have a realistic shot of the Jets being in a playoff spot after the week is over if the Bills drop this one. The Jets in, and the Bills out.

It works because the Jets will jump Houston if both teams win based on SOS. They can't jump Pittsburgh or Cleveland regardless though because they have an NFC opponent (They could if it was AFC).

i think the bills will be fine. the pats game was a really inexplicable loss but it was also a division game. if they lose at home to tampa it will definitely be time to sound the alarm but i expect them to bounce back this week definitely

i am just glad my vikings have clawed to 3-4 now. they have a much weaker schedule upcoming than the early portion so i am still holding out hope for a playoff bid

You must talk to approximately zero people about the Bills, then!

But it is appropriate to say that about the talking heads. Been obvious that our window closed two years ago with our playoff loss. Last year made it evident that we were a flash in the pan.

The Bills are at best a Vikings level team, compared to the past decade.

Miami now has 5 wins against teams that are a combined 8-25, and two ugly losses against teams that are a combined 10-4.

So the question becomes are the Dolphins the good bad team?

Or is that Dallas? The "best" win for both teams is the Chargers.

Well, I guess the Jets win looks a little better for Dallas now.

It's hard to gauge the Jets win for Dallas because it was week 2 and the entire storyline for the Jets was how their season was already over and there being absolutely no hope at all.

The Jets as a team did not give that game anywhere near full effort and it was obvious to anyone who watched it.

I think at the start of last year, we were the best time.

The problem is, we fall apart with any single injury. Von Miller, Poyer, Hyde, Hamlin... Those hurt really bad.

Look at this year: White out all season. Milano out along with a host of others...

We have such talent. But the explosiveness of our offense is nothing like it was two years ago.

The best hope the Bills have is to replace White with a star and hold on for a wild card spot before Milano comes back and exploding in the playoffs.

Will that happen? Maybe. Playoffs in the AFC are still very in view

They're fun in the sense that you never know what crazy bad play Ridder is going to make, and Koo is quietly becoming the most clutch kicker in football

Koo needs to hit a 66 yarder to win a game before we start even having that conversation.

honestly i still expect the bills to win their division. miami has a brutal next few games and buffalo is just too talented and has a qb that is too good to just collapse. miami is also a good team so regardless of who wins the division i would be shocked if both aren't in the playoffs unless they have qb injuries or diggs/hill got injured

edit: even with injuries to diggs and hill i think both are good enough to make the playoffs. obv miami has more receiver depth but i think gabe davis is better than he gets credit for and allen is just too good to completely shit the bed.

as for almost mid season predictions, i still think 49ers are the team to beat in the nfc despite the eagles having a better record and 49ers losing the last two. the chiefs have to be the favorite in the afc with the best qb on the planet but there are like 5 or 6 teams that i could see making a run at it. the nfc looks like eagles/49ers right now but afc has chiefs/bengals/bills/miami and even the jags have the talent to make a run imo

I'm not ready to believe in the Bengals quite yet until we can see for sure Burrow is back to full strength. It'll be tough for them to win the division at this point too since they've already lost to Baltimore and Cleveland.

Not that they're afraid to go on the road in the playoffs.

At this point, I'd say 49ers > Eagles >> Lions/Cowboys >> everyone else in the NFC

Chiefs are the team to beat in the AFC until further notice, and I don't really even know how to rank everyone else. Theoretically it should be the Ravens, but they're showing a penchant for dumb losses.

yeah the bengals being a contender or even a playoff team is heavily dependent on burrow getting healthy. they just had a bye and he looked more healthy last game so i am assuming he will be closer to fully healthy but that is a big caveat. i think if he does get close to 100% he has shown he can win in any scenario anywhere, but that o-line definitely needs to play much better which has always been a bengals issue.

the ravens should be a contender on paper, i just don't believe lamar can beat good teams in the playoffs based on his past performances there and the propensity for the ravens to lose the most inexplicable games even so far this season. lamar looked amazing this last week but he always seems to flash brilliance and never maintains it while teams seem to know how to stop him in the playoffs.

chiefs don't look unstoppable but it's hard to fade the best player in the league when he constantly delivers results

i feel like dak is better in the playoffs than lamar but dak has just seemed to regress in general since his injury. he just doesn't seem as capable as he used to be even with arguably as much offensive talent as he has ever had. the cowboys are loaded on both sides of the ball but i don't see them beating good teams in the playoffs unless dak can get back to his pre injury self
