I'm from the UK. Got all the respect for folks from the USA. I know there are things we don't do as well, but also do better, but that's for another topic.

Just wanted to ask, as I've seen a reddit post of mine nicked by some clickbait site on facebook - is there a law about what words you can and can't use? I understand that if I called someone a very rude word beginning with c, then it'd obviously be censored, but my sentence of "so I said what the hell, let's have a beer" was redacted to "so I said what the h---, let's have a b---" Er, whut?

I've also seen topics discussing death as being "unalived" - is this just slang from younger generations, or am I missing something here?

Full disclosure, I don't have an issue as such, but I'm just confused if I missed something. I'm not as present on social media as I was, but if anybody could help learn me, much appreciated.

Again, not a troll topic or anything, just genuinely curious if I'm too old to keep up with the socials.

Thanks,
L&T

highly agressive tiktok/youtube/streaming ToS in regards to certain topics, leads to people using euphemisms for said topics or censoring writing about said topics, and then it spreads from there.

Thanks mate, I had a feeling it came from newer socials (I don't have a tiktok/insta/discord/etc) but that makes sense.

Yeah, I often see some of the weirdest terms get censored. I think I even saw a video that censored the word "beer".

That's what I had, the word "beer" censored. Why?!

One of my best mates is a lovely young woman, who happens to be a lesbian. I remember she was very pissed off about how "lesbian" became "l------" on some social site, and didn't let her post something akin to "my experiences as a 28 year old lesbian".

Seems a bit harsh and, frankly, a little backwards.
