I dont believe you

i love say anything, seen them a couple times including last month at Riot Fest, and I dont believe Max is capable of a performance that can be considered killing it. Way too much reliance on crowd singalongs, and while he generally sounds good there was a lot of times where he tried to change the timing of lyrics, holding notes out longer etc that didnt mesh with what the band was doing

that said I had a fun as hell time at the show at Riot Fest and I was singing every word to most of the songs

also looking at the setlist for wwwy really nails down my issue with that festivalsix songs wtf? They played an hour at riot fest

My age is kicking in. When I hear Say Anything I think of the 1989 John Cusack movie. I didnt know what WWWY was so I thought it might be some festival they show older classic movies and it turned a bunch of new fans on who had never seen it haha.

I noticed him doing that. Maybe the crowd made the show more. He was singing very quietly the first song and someone screamed to sing louder and then they changed his stuff. He sounded much better after that

I never heard of them sorry. I was born in 76, listened to a lot of my dads music from the 50s and especially the 60s growing up. Of course I was a kid of the 80s and loved the music up through the 90s. Once we hit 2000 I kind of checked out and just listen to the older stuff. Im not that familiar with newer music.
