Also, do you feel you've missed the window for any of these?

Career. I also feel that I missed that window but people will tell me otherwise. I dont have any student loan debt. I dont really want to go back to school and have a bunch of debt to my name. So Im in a weird spot.

I dont want kids or to get married so both of those are fine by me.

Unless you're in a job with a union or government work, careers (with one job/place) don't exist anymore. You can stay under the same umbrella of job type, but it isn't the traditional career previous generations have known. Nowadays a career that would guarantee you a pension for retiring after X years would just mean you get fired a few years out because you become a financial liability for the company

There is no window for getting married. You could married at 80.

You can miss the window for kids depending on your partner, but men can have kids while old af.

So unless you're a woman who has hit menopause, one of those windows doesn't exist anymore, the other window never actually existed and the third is the only option lol

Same. But again, marriage and kids is of zero interest to me, and as far as career goes, that was never an option either since Im not exactly intelligent enough to work white collar (I.e. where the real careers are). I just need to make enough with a basic job to pay the bills. Its not like you can take your prestigious career with you after you die.

You can leave a legacy of sorts via career. Its not the same as kids, and you cant take anything with you when you die, but you can leave something behind.

I mean, not with the direction climate change is headed

But even if humanity had a future, we still have the issue that I will never have a career. So I dont disagree per se, it just isnt a factor for me whether I like it or not.

Sorry, I was talking in a more general sense, but I realise that maybe that may have not come across as I quoted your post.

Im 40 and may have missed the window for kids. My wife is 36 and career minded, in her last semester for her masters. Im male so I can have kids at any age really. But Im already tired af all the time without kids so I would be the old dad who doesnt have the energy to do much
