1 > 2 > 3 > TSA

1 has the most interesting bosses and the levels and premise are the best here.

2 is still fun but some of the later levels get really tedious and some of the bosses are lame, especially the final boss. Loved the 8-bit mini games though.

TSA was ehhhhhhhhh. I beat it but I couldn't get into it too much >_>

How did they fuck up 3? I still liked it, but they don't utilize the side characters at all, the overworld is SOMEHOW less interesting and more boring than in fucking No More Heroes 1, and there's literally no levels: it's just a bunch of cage matches with random enemies until the boss fight

I love the cutscenes of 1 and 2 so much. 3 has some good ones too but not as much. Travis doing all the assassin fighting in 1 solely because he wants to fuck Sylvia will never not be hilarious to me >_> Travis is my hero.

The last boss of NMH2 effectively killed my interest in the rest of the series at the time.

Eventually I'll revisit it on a non-Wii system.

It's the only one I played from start to finish.

Thanks for reminding that I still need to play 3 lol. I'd definitely agree that 1 was better than 2, though. The minimalism actually worked in its favor, I think a bigger budget worked against the sequel because they just added too much unnecessary shit to bloat it out a bit. Still a good game, though.

they kept fixing non-problems, like the overworld, just because some ppl complained loudly.

the overworld was chill, it was different. BUT it was fucking fun as hell. dumpster diving for tshirts was the best.

Debatable. I kind of liked 2, but maybe because that was the first one I played and then went back to 1 and it felt a bit unfocused where 2 is like a massive boss rush.

I didnt dislike the overworld in 1 but it definitely needed something more to it.

3's overworld is just so bland even though it's bigger and has different environments.

2 is my favourite, but I like them all

2 is better than 1 though, they did away with the stupid empty overworld and got you straight to the fights. Plus I remember I actually liked playing as the other character surprisingly enough, her levels were fun.

It's never been a great series anyway, barely can call it good. But as budget games they can be fun.

Haven't played 3 or the spinoff. In the Wii days I was game starved and the budget nature was part of the appeal, but now 3 being called somehow worse than 1 and 2 after over a decade makes me go yeah no thanks.

2 is great to marathon in one day.
I'm pretty accepting of the boss lineup. Charlie's kinda meh and Cloe is anti-climactic after the level that comes before. I also wish Captain Vladimir's shield was more lenient. Aside from that I'm pretty happy with it.

I know people hate Shinobu's boss fights and the final boss but I really don't mind. The final boss of 2 is the best part of the series.
