Because he was extremely rattled after their first debate and his publicist told him "never debate that guy again". Tbf, if you've seen their debate, it's understandable why Peterson would want to avoid abject humiliation whenever possible

I think he usually lacks enough self-awareness to understand when he should feel embarrassment, but there was no denying it in the debate, even for someone like Peterson IMO

I remember in that debate Peterson said that people having hallucinations after consuming magic mushrooms is evidence of God and atheists are incapable of quitting smoking because you need a divine intervention.
