The first two movies are alright. I've seen them before and they're still good. I'd give them an 8/10. By the third movie it was feeling a little of the same. The fourth kinda sucked, but it was still watchable.

The fifth movie is a disaster. This is my first time watching this one. What a terrible film. This scene sums of the movie.

I'm now afraid to watch the sixth movie. I have never watched it.

I like the first seven movies. 8 is where it starts to get really stupid although 7 is where they started to introduce weird ideas like the telekinetic girl. But I can enjoy 8 in a bad B movie kind of way. 9 is probably the worst IMO. X is bad but like 8 is entertaining in a so bad it's funny territory.

The 4th is generally considered one of the better movies in the series.
6th movie is good as well. Keep in mind that he is now considered a zombie so you'll start seeing his infamous teleportation skill.
7th has him fighting a telekinetic girl which is interesting. Haven't watched it in years so don't remember how it is.
8th is Jason in Manhattan which is funny bad.
Skip 9.
X is Jason in Space. Edgy 2000s funny bad.

6 is actually pretty good even as a standalone.

9 is alright, if you want to see the original 'conclusion', but can't remember much as it's been easily 15 or more years since I saw it.

*scoffs* part V is great because it has some of the best characters of the franchise.

Ethel, Violet, Damon, Anita, Reggie and Pam are all top tier characters of the franchise.

I agree. The Friday movies are better when the characters don't know Jason is there until it's too late. Parts, VIII, IX, X, FvJ, and the remake are just pretty much chase movies, so they stop being slashers, and become Survival Horror.

6 is my favorite (and a lot of other's favorite, typically it comes down to 1, 2, 4 and 6 for most). I probably wouldn't watch anything after 6 unless you feel compelled to watch all of them like I was. A lot of people like 7 but I can't stand it, and 8 and 9 are really bad. 10 is either lovingly cheesy or the worst in the whole series. FvJ and the remake are alright. I must mention the actor they got for Jason in the remake was really good, and should've gotten another movie.

5 is definitely funny bad. It's an insane movie with one of the most insane plots ever (the guy kills more people than Jason ever had in one movie up to that point...over a chocolate bar!) and although it is never scary at any point, it is a hell of a lot of fun.

Honestly I've always loved 5. Everyone just craps on it because of who the killer is.

Umm...that was not the killer's motivation. The killer was the father of the fat guy who was murdered.

VI is probably the best. I also like the Never Hike Alone fan made films that have been made recently. They even got a couple of actor's from part VI back for them.

The sixth one is pretty good. I like the new take. It seems more darker too and there's still some silly comedic stuff.

Upon careful consideration, I think Part 7 is the worst of the 8 original Paramount movies. Even worse than Part 5 which doesn't even have Jason.

Tina is okay, but the rest of the characters are aggressively boring. It's odd that what is arguably Jason's most famous kill -- the sleeping bag -- is in the film which most nullifies him as a threat. I get that Jason keeps surviving what Nancy is throwing at him, but it's like watching the sword-vs-gun fight from Raiders of the Lost Ark again and again. Jason gets electrocuted, he has a house dropped on him, he's hanged, and he comes back to... grab Tina and set her down gently. Oh, wow. What a threatening monster.

It's probably the best design for the unmasked Jason face though. He looks like the Red Skull with one eye.

Totally agree. They save the movie IMO from being the worst (I seriously don't know how anything could top JGTH as the worst)

Also totally agree. I feel like 7 is labeled as one of the better ones because of Kane Hodder (who's amazing, don't get me wrong) but my god the first half of that movie is such a slog to sit through because nobody keeps it entertaining. In every other movie, there's at least one character who makes it fun until the body count really starts going.

Yeah. Not like any of the other movies were masterpieces so it's always weird seeing people trying to rag on it. It was a fun enough movie.

It's honestly an above average entry as far as Friday the 13th movies are concerned. It's just that it isn't a good introduction for people who didn't watch the original series. They try to condense the first movie into an opening prologue and pretty much take it for granted that Jason doesn't require an explanation.

Just finished VII. It was like wtf? This girl has powers? Why? The movie was okay.

Now on to 8 and the opening is good, but a little strange for a Friday the 13th movie.

Jason's a supernatural zombie man with super strength that can't be killed or hurt so I'm fine with a girl having telekinesis. Plus I really liked the last act of that movie.

Part 8 is horrendous with nearly zero redeeming qualities.

part 8 is funny and has some good kills. yes, it is a bad movie, but it is incredibly watchable.

9 is definitely the worst movie in the series. its not even bad in a funny way and jason is barely in it, you spend the whole thing watching other actors doing impressions of him. the whole retconning thing they do in it is incredibly nonsensical
