Those are good burgers, Walter.

Only been to one,in Scottsdale AZ. The burgers were ok,messy. The fries sucked imo.

Nevada's In N Out is better

The fries are good only if they've been eaten fresh. Otherwise, they quickly become hard and stale over time.

Not as good as Whataburger IMO.

I'm neutral to it. Growing up here I never understood why it's a big thing for tourists to try. They make everything fresh, the old school motif is nice and the lines move fast. But beyond that, it's a burger place like any other.

Just get the fries well done and you can stop complaining about them.

Yeah it's hard to mess up fries but the couple times I had them they were awful.

In and Out is good, but not as good as stuff like 5 Guys or Culver's

It's an extremely overrated burger. It's not worth the massive lines in the parking lot to eat.

Its pretty good but the secret sauce isnt for me

The line really isn't that bad with how fast they go. I went there yesterday and even though there were about 12 cars ahead of me, I was out in roughly 6-8 minutes. I spent more time waiting when I went to The Habit Burger last week.

Ive only had them in Arizona but theyre pretty good. We have 5 Guys in Michigan but fuck are they pricey

Heard about something called animal style. Wish I woulda known when I ate there.

I grew up in SoCal and am thus biased, but it's my favorite burger joint because the burgers themselves are amazing. The ingredients are just fresher when stacked up against just about any other fast food burger I've had. Their fries are trash, but I rarely order fries so it's no big deal for me.

I guess I have some really shitty experiences with the drive thru line then. I'll usually skip it and go inside and order instead.

The food is pretty good, it's open until 1, and it's two blocks away. I've also never really had a bad experience eating there.

That said, the only time I've had it in California specifically was 26 years ago in LA.

The food itself is meh whatever, but the amount of traffic In-N-Out causes around me in L.A. makes me freaking hate it. The drive-thru line always spills out into traffic and backs up everything, especially during rush hour. It's honestly ridiculous, because the line doesn't even move fast. These people literally have to have like an hour to kill just to order and wait for their food.

They seem to actually give a fuck about their employees too. Some stores pay like $24 an hour to start. Imagine being a 16 year old making 50k a year, if you wanted.

Better than most alternatives. Tried Shake Shack, finally, when I was in Boston last week and for as much as people on this forum talk it uppales in comparison, IMO.

The most average burgers with the worst fast food fries.

I like the burgers. The fries are always hit or miss. You never know if they're going to be good or overcooked with that empty, sort of fluffy crunch.

But fuck those stupid lines. The vast majority of the times that I have felt like having one of their burgers I just ended up going somewhere else because of the line.

I prefer Five Guys though. The burgers are good, exactly how I want it and their fries are always perfect.

I grew up in California, live in Oregon now and we have a few of them around now. I rarely eat fast food but when I do it's usually from them. Got to make sure to eat the fries right away though or they will taste like shit.

Honestly it's just ok imo.

I don't dislike it, however I don't get the hype at all.

I do applaud them for having one of the highest base starting wage rate in the fast food industry, so kudos to good management.

My brother used to live in downtown LA, and whenever I'd visit, we'd both laugh at the willingness of people there to wait ungodly times for the most mundane shit.

Their burger is okay and their fries are dogshit.

its the best fast food burger and the fries get way too much shit. i go like 2-3 times a month. Double double and animal fries for $10.25, cant be beat at any other fast food restaurant

Pretty much this. I like the burgers more than most fast food, but I'm not waiting behind 30 cars for one. There's a Wendy's across the street from it that never has a line.

I prefer Culvers.

I didn't grow up or have any in California but I've had it in other places. Simple, fresh, affordable, and quick. I imagine the late night availability is another part of the draw. Because it's affordable and consistent, I imagine many make it their go-to and leave full. The "secret" menu is also a point in their favor.

While they aren't as good as Shake Shack or Five Guys overall, the above points would probably lead me to prefer to go to an In-N-Out Burger if I had my choice. They do different things well than Whataburger but I'd prefer their consistency if put against them.

Fries are not meant to be fried fresh. They are too full of starch that needs to be soaked out and then they need to be double fried so they can end up with appropriate texture. But these idiots just dump raw potato into a fryer and then they brag about them being fresh despite the fact that it is literally the incorrect way to make french fries. And then they have the audacity to not salt them, though like all fried food, the salting needs to take place immediately or it doesn't stick.

You can get them well done but that is just their garbage fries pretending they were better. They still have shit texture and taste they are just over-done on the outside.

That's probably why I like them so much. They're awful fries, but they're at least different than other fast food fries. You can spot them easily in a line up compared to tons of other places' fries.
