I live in a fairly small apartment and usually with the exception of my bedroom (which I want to be cold anyways) I can keep the rest pretty comfy until it's consistently below 30 degrees for a couple of weeks.

I considered mining crypto specifically for the heat but honestly it seemed like too much of a hassle to set up.

Even tho the returns are shit, I'll still throw on NiceHash or something for a bit here and there during a brief cold snap to keep things nice.

Had to do this when my fucking furnace in my house went out, on the coldest week of winter in '18. Kept my laptop under an elaborate base of blankets and it was enough, but God's Fuck did it suck to get up for the bathroom.

tbh in my case at least it's probably more expensive to use electricity for my PC as heat than the natural gas my furnace uses, but I like a challenge.

yeah, my room is always the hottest in the whole apartment because of my PC

it's almost november in Massachusetts and I haven't turned my heat on once yet, I still keep a couple windows open

My PC runs hot as balls if I don't use a framerate limiter so yeah lol. In the past I've left a window open in goddamn December because my room gets so hot.
