As long as it's voluntary, I honestly don't see a problem with this.

Travel is expensive, if people want to voluntarily deport I don't mind a few tax dollars being spent. For some folks this may be a rare opportunity to return to their home country.

I'm happy to hear why this might actually be shitty.

After looking up a non-dirtbag source it's because, thanks to desantis's antics, all their shelters are near or at capacity and many of these people are looking at living on the streets during winter and giving them one way flights to anywhere of their choice is cheaper and more time efficient then trying to build more shelters before the weather gets dangerously cold.

Texas doesn't provide housing. They've only sent about 2-3% of the overall amount that has arrived at the border in FY 2023.
