I actually just got to the Inverted Castle when I made this topic. So far liking it better than the DS games, which are the only other "metroidvania" titles I played.

Just stop playing tbh there's no recovering from that

I wouldn't really bother with it though. It's so overpowered that it kinda ruins the gameplay tbh.

I mean, the Shield Rod can do sillier things, but the Criss is a convenient weapon.

Dracula ded. Great game, though I really wasn't feeling the Inverted Castle and was glad to have broken cheese strats to blaze through it. Janky ass difficulty curve for that section seemed designed to encourage grinding. I just used the mist form to skip most of the rooms though because enemy placement was annoying and everything was suddenly hitting like a truck.

Alucard Shield melted Shaft and Dracula,which seems cheap, but then I'm the kind of person who has no qualms in abusing the triple Holy Water in CV1. >_>

Voice acting for the final showdown between Alucard and daddy was surprisingly decent. Love how sincerely hammy it is.
