No, it's just a marketing gimmick from a brand that loves its gimmicks.

I'm sure there are a few that taste like they were.
But ya, I am not into overly oaked wine.

Also, just to say, it looks like they are doing it as a gimmick, which 19 crimes is known for.
I know the senior marketing director at Gallo, I think this is a Gallo product.

Also, fun fact, you can put a bottle in a basement for like a day and claim it was cellered at some exotic location, at least in America.
~I doubt the French do that.
Hell, a true bottle of French wine will not tell you much, you are expected to know.
If you see a French wine that tells you too much assume it is Americanized.

Back on topic, for a while, I have been looking for a Romanian.
The place I was at had one, but it was stupid gimmicky Transilvania bullshit. I never bought it.

So that's my 'short' answer.

100% this. I mean... if proper sanitary measures are taken... I guess?
I wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out one way or the other.

Otherwise... a coffin is just a container.

First provide evidence that hauntings are a real thing. Then prove that coffins specifically are haunted.

Seems like a coffin would be the one thing not haunted according to the typical ghost lore, right? Like it's a proper resting vessel for a human corpse. Aren't haunting traditionally when the person is murdered suddenly and without justice?

Ever heard the legend of the mellified man?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mellified_man

A mellified man, also known as a human mummy confection, was a legendary medicinal substance created by steeping a human cadaver in honey.

This process differed from a simple body donation because of the aspect of self-sacrifice; the mellification process would ideally start before death. The donor would stop eating any food other than honey, going as far as to bathe in the substance. Shortly, the donor's feces and even sweat would consist of honey. When this diet finally proved fatal, the donor's body would be placed in a stone coffin filled with honey.[2]

After a century or so, the contents would have turned into a sort of confection reputedly capable of healing broken limbs and other ailments.

I've had the exact opposite kind of wine, cause the owner of the vineyard I worked at had some sort of... clearance? to do a Catholic mass purification ritual on the place.
