I'm not going to act like he's the best president ever, but people come up with the lamest fucking reasons to not like him, usually with it being because he's not as progressive as they'd like him to be or because he's old. These people, in my view, haven't truly conceptualized having to deal with the entire US population with the multitude of demographics and interest groups it has. I actually agree. It's very understandable why Republicans voted for Trump despite his immoral actions. They supported the policies that could be passed under his presidency and to them, that mattered more than the stupid shit he said. Of course, some also voted for him because they just liked the vile shit he said.

You're right. If we just stop believing in the two-party system, it will stop existing. That's how we enact change in America.

If you think you're powerful or if you think you're powerless, there's a good chance you'll be right. If you don't like the system, change it.

White moderates can often come across as very tone-deaf.

Imagine being part of a minority group, where Democrats will often weaponize you against the GOP, which in turn causes the GOP to ramp up their violent, racist rhetoric towards you so their own voters get riled up. And then you get left out to dry when it's no longer election season.

That's not to say that harm reduction isn't necessary, but fuck, the Democrat Party and its voters really need to start listening to non-voters, rather than immediately jumping down their throats.

The right wing spent billions of dollars, they created media networks, they got into churches, and corporate America, and set up think tanks, and disenfranchised voters, and obstructed or stole seats on every level of the courts...

We aren't going to fix this in one election. Suck it up, vote for Biden, mitigate the greater damage of a stronger republican party, and keep fighting like the right wing has fought since your grandparents were your age.
