Why not both?

I didn't know certain demographics preferred certain body cleaning products. I've used those in the past, but I mostly use scrubby sheets? I don't know what they're called. They're long and rectangular. They're a bit rougher than sponge cloths.

I'm not surprised CE isn't aware of the "White people don't use wash cloths" thing. Apparently African Americans mainly uses wash clothes and most White people lather their body with their bare hand. I use liquid body wash and I dunno how anyone can lather their body efficiently with their bare hands with that. With a bar of soap I get it but even then I would rather rub the bar of soap to a sponge cloth and then scrub my body.

Im morbidly obese and cannot leave my bed. I wash myself with a rag on a stick.

I used a wash cloth my entire life until I started living alone. I converted to a shower brush. Less laundry was my motivation. I prefer a cloth but it generates more laundry.

Wash cloth on my face. Sponge on the body.

Its the only way.

Some bars of soap come with grit. Like some of the Doctor Squatch soaps. Every bar is either no grit, light grit or heavy grit. If you have the heavy grit bars, you probably don't even need a cloth. Just scrub the bar directly on your skin

As a bearded person, I use an electric shaver even if it doesn't shave as close because I have sensitive skin on my face.

Idk, a cloth seems kind of gross. I used to to use a sponge cloth (I didn't even know that was the name, I would just call it a loofah even though I guess that's slightly different), but now I honestly just use my bare hands most of the time out of laziness.

You can always rinse out the washcloth under the warm water with soap, it's a porous cloth. Use it a few times, toss it in the washing machine for a more thorough cleaning.

Sponges have the same issues with bacteria build up. It's just personal preference.

I use a loofah like TC when I use liquid soap, but when I use bar soap I use a little pouch thing that you put the bar in. Growing up, we used wash cloths.

you can wash your wash cloths to keep them clean. unlike a loofah, which just collects bacteria and grime until you throw it away and the plastic sits in a landfill.

i use one for 3-4 days, then toss it in with the dirty towels.

I've always used loofah.

I'm Black and I've heard that stereotype about white people before, but it doesn't apply to all white people. I know several that use a wash cloth as well.

How often do you do laundry? Weekly is a lot to me. If you do it every 2 weeks that means you need 14 wash clothes.

I do laundry weekly, but I also have a ton of towels (my grandmother gives me towels almost every Christmas), so I could wait 2 weeks. But washing weekly really isn't that big of a deal. Waiting every 2 weeks just means you have twice as much laundry to do

And? You realize how small washcloths are, right? And they're pretty inexpensive unless you wanna toss out the big bucks for really nice ones.

I can't find a bar of soap that will lather me as good nor can they scrub my body as good. A loofah does the job well for me.
