I'd have to say yes. Even as a Final Fantasy fanboy, it trumps every other game I've played in terms of how its been masterfully crafted. I'm still amazed by how good it was, and how the world felt alive, and I finished it a while ago.

I might get it on PC and upgrade my stuff to play it on Max next time.
