I envy the timeline where "Pooh is public domain! Time to make a horror!" essentially resulted in a yellow kocaine bear. Post kredits scene is the bear having lost it's family, adopts a runaway pig.

An adaptation where Christopher Robin abandons Pooh and the others has some merit as a plot.

Then this fucking movie comes out and it just ruins the idea completely.

premise of the movie is still terrible, beyond the whole winnie the pooh but a slasher/horror movie concept

Why does christopher robin growing up mean that the woodland creatures cant feed themselves? Wtf was christopher robin doing that kept these creatures fed for years before he grew up? And why does that mean they had to eat eeyore and resort to killing others? lol

Same reason why you cant just release animals that have lived in a zoo and expect them to turn back to wild mode?
Keiko, the orca star of Free Willy, is one example. He was set free, but instead of living in the sea, he tried to get human contact. He didnt even capture his own food, he had to be fed.

but you're comparing willy to anthromorphic animals that can talk and stuff. Plus rabbit in the og books is intelligent enough to solve issues like hunger. Disney version had rabbit tend a garden.

And in this adaption, rabbit most likely thought that it was too much work when a human came feeding him anyway.
At one point he must have tried to restart his garden when Christopher Robin stopped showing up, most likely at the wrong time of the year and he got a bad harvest.
Then the hunger made them kill and eat the weakest of the group. After that, he most likely got a garden running, which he combines with meat from small animals that he captures.
