Elon Musk has a new friend named Grok. [You mean ONLY friend]

The billionaire introduced the AI chatbot Grok to the world over the weekend on his social media platform X, where he pitched the project as an edgy alternative to ChatGPT and its peers.

Musk announced the launch of xAI in July, jumping into the AI arms race after calling companies like OpenAI and Google woke for putting guardrails on their technology.

In the weekend announcement, xAI called Grok a bot with a rebellious streak that was in part modeled after the sci-fi favorite Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

xAI promised the model would answer spicy questions that are rejected by most other AI systems and told potential users, please dont use it if you hate humor! [That's always a good sign, coming from someone like Musk]

Offering an example of Groks approach, Musk posted a screenshot in which he asked the chatbot to tell me how to make cocaine, step by step.

Showing some signs of safeguards, it quipped, Obtain a chemistry degree and a DEA license, and later added a requisite just kidding. [See? It's HILARIOUS right?]

Large language models like ChatGPT are trained on massive sets of information, and since AIs boom in popularity, Musk accused other AI ventures of scraping X posts for data.

While Grok was likely trained on far less information than its competitors, Musk claimed the chatbot has real-time access to info via the X platform, which is a massive advantage over other models.

He also said Grok outperforms several competing models on math and reasoning, but that it still needs to catch up to GPT-4, which was released by OpenAI in March.

Grok will eventually be integrated into X, where it will first be available to the platforms paid subscribers.

Musks enthusiasm for AI seems to be matched by his anxiety over the technology.

AI stresses me out, he told Tesla investors in March. Its quite dangerous technology. I fear I may have done some things to accelerate it.

It'll be fun to watch this crash and burn like everything else Musk touches

The Muskrat probably really liked the parts about Michael's sex cult (particularly how said cult sexually assaulting two characters is portrayed as being a good thing), and no doubt he wants one of those for himself. And he also probably liked how one of those stances wasn't in regards to LGBTQ+ rights, as gay people are treated as subhuman in the book.

It'd be interesting if it delivers on what he says. Guardrails on AI are the most annoying things about them.

Having a bot role play as a fictional character in such a way would be... interesting.

Problem is humans are pieces of shit and its only a matter of time before someone decides to do with with a bot playing a real person.

(I'm sure some obscure chat bot is already doing that)

Obviously for it to say, learn and do whatever I want without limit.

What that is youre free to imagine but as long as its not harming or effecting anyone in any way, shape or form and Its kept strictly to myself then it shouldnt be a problem for anyone in my opinion.
