Then they rehired him, and he kept doing the same thing. It wasn't too bad of a transition. So here's hoping Yahtzee keeps doing the same thing in a different skin. Possibly the only reviewer whose reviewing still matters to me. Moviebob content has been in an increasingly rough spot since he left though. He was an individual who actively tried to court controversy and it's clear the website didn't need him as much as he needed them. Yahtzee is a completely different beast though, he is the mascot of the Escapist. He made them. For a while, Zero Punctuation was the only thing holding it up, but he led it into a bit of a renaissance with a bunch of new talent and shows. I've been getting subtle hints lately that an 'end of an era' moment was coming when he started prefacing videos with the 'subscribe to my Patreon for the uncensored version because I'm tired of caving to Youtube's policies' bit. Hell, I didn't even realize he'd stopped saying 'fuck' until he pointed it out. At any rate, I'll be very interested to see where he lands and will do what I can to support him.
