You know the level. Knew it was gonna be a difficulty spike above everything else in the game, but I was not expecting to burn 99 lives on it. No idea the actual amount since I've earned a 1-up from getting 100 koins. Gonna estimate it at 160ish. Man, fuck the spring badge and fuck this song.

Finally beat it. Was so tempted to pick one of the easy characters or go online to cheese it.

Now I kan aimlessly dick around online and help randoms. Oddly satisfying.

Idk the level, I think the most I died was like 10 times on the special world level with the beat timing wall jumps. Even the ultimate final special level took me like 4 tries.

Sounds like you're just really bad.

I am not a patient man. Yes the ultimate level with the badge stuff. The spring and invisibility stuff was pretty out of my element.

Yeah even badge marathon was fairly disappointing difficulty-wise. Maybe like 5 deaths total.

Still waiting on another proper Edmund McMillen platformer to scratch that itch. SMB Forever was meh.

I kept dying at the auto jumping segment. For whatever reason I was absent minded and completely forgot I could spin in the middle of my jump.

So I burned something like 60 lives at the very end of that segment trying to get over the fire bars and just could not simply pass those final four.

Once I realized I could spin, I ended up passing that segment on first try. Lol. I felt like an idiot once I figured that out.

For me it was like 5 deaths for most of the level and then 25 deaths on that bullshit invisibility part.

I think that part accounted for literally all of my deaths in that level. Fuck the invisibility badge

I burned around 60 lives to beat it, the spring was by far the worst for me. Somehow I breezed by the invisible part.

most of my deaths from that level were with the spring jump badge.
the invisibility badge is stupid, but it was harder to get there than to beat it.

I haven't beat the game yet, so I don't know the level. However, I do know that the harder levels are definitely some of the most fun in this game. I died almost 15 times in the first map of the special world and it was the most fun I've had so far.

The second run through, I saved an item in my inventory for the sole purpose of damage boosting through the spring/firebars part. So of kourse that's the run I do it perfectly without getting hit.

Sucked how that was basically the only interesting level designed with badges in mind

The game was designed for badges to be optional. They're only mandatory in the levels that force them on you.

I kan't stop. I must give drills and bubbles to player just starting the first level. Ruin the ecosystem. Destroy the natural order.

I haven't had the chance to do this level y'all are talking about. I lost about 8 lives on that Climb to the Beat in Special World. I have the final level (I think) to do and need to find the other 4 levels of Special World?

"Final " level requires ever wonder seed in special world.

Final Final level requires every Seed, Big Purple koin, and Gold flag in the game. Possibly every badge too, except the very last one.

Feel a tiny bit bad for people genuinely tryna get my attention to show me secrets. 'Specially when they've got 1 to 5 medals. I've aleady done it all, Junior, now accept my gifts and reach the goal so I kan farm meaningless points.

Giveng people in World 2 Drills and you kan tell it's their first time when the just frantically wild out. Feels good, mang.

But then other times you encounter that 1 in 1000 player that doesn't know what the run button is for and is struggling to slowly walljump to get that touch more hight they're missing. Feels bad, mang.

No. I don't know the level. No level made me burn 99 lives.

The special world stuff definitely burned some. As would have that freaking "run fast on a bunch of improved timer toggle blocks or else you just fall to a false end" thing... if not for it not actually killing you.

But then, I am a take time to think person sometimes. Not good at speed run levels.

Speaking of, they DEFINITELY pulled a lot of inspiration from Mario Maker stuff, including to an extent even kaizo and troll levels.
