Are we assuming of the same weight?

Though of course even then, heavyweight fighters would do better against their civilian equivalents then lightweights I imagine

They should be able to out cardio 99% of people. Just run. Punch one hard. Run more. Repeat.

I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.

People vastly underestimate how hard it is to fight more than one person at a time. It's 2 would be overwhelming, 3 is a guarantee. Most of what you learn through martial arts isn't going to save you in those situations, the best you can do is focusing on protecting yourself and hope you don't die or hope they get tired.

I've seen enough videos of people with training molly whopping groups of 2 or 3 randoms in a fight. But for every one of those videos there's hundreds more where the 2 or 3 dudes are stomping that one mma fighter out. So just for the sake of this topic, I'd say that a trained mma fighter could probably take out maybe 2 or 3 dudes that have no training as long as he's sober and has ample room to maneuver. That's not at all reliable though, and I'd sooner bet on the group than I would on that individual fighter.

How fit do you think the average person is? Because I'd say the phyiscality difference is a much bigger hurdle before you even get to technicalicty

On the ring or street?

I've seen a fighter took down 5 people by effectively kiting them. Can't do that in a confined space.

The average person cant fight at all.

Yes, its hard to fight multiple opponents, and two guys who arent on your level could take you down, but the gulf between a good fighter and the average person is pretty huge.

If its a top MMA fighter Id say 3 or 4 average people needed.

I wonder if flyweights can beat the avg person
Yes they cut to 125 pounds but ik it leaves some of them depleted. Not uncommon for fighters to cut like 20-30 pounds. So maybe some flyweights are around 150 pound walking weight.

I know bantamweights (135 pound division) on extreme end can walk around 175 pounds outside of fights (aljaiman sterling is the main culprit lol). Featherweights (145 pounds) idk maybe they are 170 pounders lol maybe more aljaiman sterlings.over there.. ik volkanovski current champ used to weigh like 215 pounds or something but that was his pre fighting days.

Ofc there are always rumors of lightweights (155 pound) weighing 200 pounds outside of fights but maybe 180 to 190 is more reasonable. Ok now welterweights (170 pounds) maybe 200 pounds cuz that when the fighters reach 6 ft tall more often (like Leon edwards is 6'2, umm that connor poser and shavkat is also around that height).

I think avg person is 180 pounds? So no doubt a bantamweight can beat up the avg person since they aren't too far off and have skills/athleticism . maybe just 1 avg person tho. Also not all mma fighters are great at striking so they won't all kite effectively. Guess really depends on the fighter damn

Assuming you mean a professional, I'd say it depends on how determined they are. The average person would take one punch from a professional and nope the fuck out of there so fast that numbers likely wouldn't be a factor for long.

Even if they are determined I think a solid body kick would wipe the average person out coming from a trained fighter

A good MMA fighter could easily beat two average dudes at once. He could very likely beat three at once. These guys have no idea how to fight and no idea how to coordinate fighting. Unless they're fighting in a bathroom or something, an MMA fighter will out-maneuver them so that it is simply a series of one on one skirmishes. If you don't know fighting footwork and you've never done endurance training for fighting, then your best bet to close the distance is to wildly charge at the fighter and try to grab them around the waist. If he doesn't knee or elbow you in the head immediately then there's a chance your buddy can grab a hold of him too, and now you've somewhat got a chance.
