Interesting. US 7/11? Their sandwiches seem gross. I actually learned to make egg salad this year lol.

IDK know 7/11 does it but here's how I do it.

Eggs
Mayonnaise
Paprika
Sweet pickles relish

I have no idea how 7/11 does it but just wing it. Hard boiled eggs, Mayo, I like to throw in some scallions (green onions), salt, pepper, paprika.

Some people like to add a little dill. Some people add a little Dijon mustard. Some people like a little more crunch so they will finely dice a little celery in there. Some people add a little relish or just finely diced dill pickles.

Cater to your tastes, its easy.

boil some eggs
chop em up and add some mayonnaise and mustard 4:1

and then I like

relish
celery salt
crushed black pepper

I will suggest if you havent before to steam your eggs instead of boiling. Get way better ans consistent results steaming.

Not really. It's just 7/11's in the wets are inferior.
Japan, Korea, Singapore, they're all pretty much on par with each other imo

I have no idea why people go so crazy for the 7-11 egg salad sandwiches. They're so bland, the "shaki shaki lettuce" (lettuce with ham and cheese) ones are much better IMO.

But hey, I found a Japanese web site with a recipe. Give it a try.

You need:
2 eggs
1 tablespoon mayo (obviously kewpie is ideal)
1 teaspoon condensed milk
1 teaspoon whole milk
Little bit of salt and pepper
1-2 teaspoons margarine

1. Hard boil the eggs. (It doesn't say specifics but I think putting them in water after it boils for 10-12 minutes is ideal. That way the yolk will be slightly soft but not at all runny.)

2. After the eggs have cooled separate the whites from the yolks and mash the whites.

3. Mix the yolk with the other ingredients to make a paste.

4. Mix that with the mashed egg whites and spread it on Japanese milk bread.

I tried Duke's once.

I couldn't taste much of a difference between that and Hellmann's (i.e. it was bland).

Japanese and European mayonnaises are just better than American, accept it.
