A girl I know (who was incredibly cute) just got them and now she looks like a fish. She's asking people how she looks and no one has the heart to tell her.

I don't get it.... People pay money for this?

This is one of those topics where guys really have no idea what work women have done for the most part, and only notice it when it looks vaguely inhuman. So it's an issue of confirmation bias. There are women walking around everywhere with filler and botox and all kinds of shit that you'd never notice, because you wouldn't be able to tell.

It's like makeup. Guys like to say "I don't like women who wear makeup, I prefer natural faces like this", and then point to a woman who is already wearing foundation, concealer, lip gloss, etc.

I guess though if you're just asking do I like the over the top big lips thing, no.

You know there's a notable difference between foundation and lip filler right?

Like saying guys won't notice hair dye because they don't notice conditioner.

It's not about looks. It's about performance.
Same for women with no teeth and all gums.

Ive never seen cosmetic surgery make a person look better.

(Im not counting surgery to correct a deformity or treat injury among that statement. I only mean cosmetic surgery for vanity reasons.)

it's hard to notice if you never seen the person before but it's easier to notice if you se the before and after and usually the after doesn't look as good,at least in cases where the person already looked good

If you've never seen someone before (and honestly, even if you have) you would probably not notice lip filler on them. Most people get lip filler to get slightly plumper lips, not bimbo fish lips.

As for the hair dye/conditioner analogy, you sort of proved my point there. So many women opt for natural looking hair dye that you wouldn't ever notice. You just assume she's a brunette or she's a blonde, simply because they didn't get blue or pink or bleached white.

The whole "Natural" look is very much a curated image for many women. Natural is spots and tired eye shadows and dry cracked lips and frizzy hair.

as someone who wears makeup and has botox and fillers, this is absolutely true
literally no one has noticed that i got work done because with good cosmetic surgery, just like with good makeup, the goal is to look like you don't have any
