Well I do agree marriage isn't for everybody. In that some people are happier with casual relationships or not having a partner at all.

And I don't know. I sometimes feel that with less pressure on marriage simply as a rite of passage or merely making babies, that marriage happening will be more likely not to go to divorce if the couple are doing so for themselves.

In the context of love and family, the way I used dependant could be interpreted as either an adjective or noun, so its not even strictly incorrect. People consider themselves dependants on love.

If you are sourcing happiness from something, then your happiness is dependent on said something. The reason for my criticism is perfectly contained in the form of my criticism.
What does this even mean? It is rather important for good mental health that you learn to love yourself.
It is only good for your mental health to love yourself because that self love is consolation, a way to COPE with the sadness or shame you would otherwise have of yourself if you didn't wholeheartedly accept yourself, just the way you are!

And what need is there for acceptance if there isn't something about a person they don't like about themselves?
