Which is high praise considering it's like my favourite comedy movie

There's two versions of the movie sold on blu-ray, the theatrical cut and the unrated version.

Both versions have a different commentary track attached to them.

The theatrical version has the Adam Mckay and the crew basically fabricating every piece of information about the film like that the kid characters were animatronics, that the original cut of the film was 9.5 hours long, and that it went several hundred million dollars over budget.

The unrated version has Will Ferrell, John C Reilly, David Koechner, Jack McBrayer, Adam Mckay, and Michael Clarke Duncan playing fictional versions of themselves (or their son, in Mckay's case) recording the Ricky Bobby 25th anniversary edition in 2031. Ferrell is a performer in Vegas, John C Reilly is a militia member, Koechner is a Senator, McBrayer is a morbidly obese shut in, McKay died in a shark attack off the coast of Catalina, and Duncan is a cult leader. Basically two hours of them improv-ing around that

It's all fucking hilarious

Do they even do still do commentary tracks for movies anymore? That's something I've entirely forgotten about during the switch from DVD to streaming platforms.

I remember a Fantasia Blu-Ray that had a really cool commentary track with a Walt Disney impersonator reading quotes from Walt about the movie.
