There is some actual deserved criticism over this. Both the city only wanting to make an effort for this and for kowtowing to China in general. It's just that TC is a disingenuous troll and conservatives in general have to right to complain about any of the problems SF or any other big city has because they're all against actual meaningful ways to to stop them. They're against helping homeless people get places to live and jobs. They're against giving drug addicts treatment. They're against giving mentally ill people treatment. They're against funding infrastructure. Plus tons of "red" cities are also bad.
