My biggest fear is parking next to someone on a windy day and when you open the door it yanks its way out of your hand (especially true if you're parking at the top of a parking garage).

If someone parked stupidly close to me and left me with no choice but to squeeze in through a tiny gap, I probably wouldnt care if I dinged their car. In all other circumstances, Id take total blame.

Getting OUT of the car, that is 100% on you every single time without exception.

But if you park and go into a store and come out to find some jackass parked next to you and left you zero space, then fuck 'em. I'm not swinging my door any harder than usual, but if it smacks their car I'm not even bothering to check if there's a scratch.

This is my thoughts exactly. If you are parking and don't give yourself enough space, the fault is your own.

But I don't care about some asshole pickuptruck driver who parks over the line and makes it impossible to get in my car. I still try not to hit their car but thar is mostly to protect my own door.

My car is only 2 years old so I try to keep it in good shape, and park on the edge of a row (where only one car can park next to me). I don't want to scratch the corners/edges of my door so I'll get in the passenger side and climb over to the driver's seat if I have to.

I also try to park next to other Subarus since we have a subie bro thing going on, and avoid Nissans like the plague.

Don't park like an asshole and force people to play the "not touching" game with your car.
