you people realize how much europe outsources their war materiel? their supplies their training their troops? their defensive strategy is "hold out until america saves the day" and you know it

The funny thing about soccer is watching British people get triggered by their own damn word.

Of course if I lived in the UK I'd be a rugby fan that didn't watch football.

I dont care about football or soccer as a sport. Its just infuriating to see either side insist that their word to refer to men kicking a ball round a field is the only possible correct answer.

Are we getting paid for our services? I guess so if being allowed to play world police counts. But you left out my other complaint. Why does America screw over its vets?

Yeah America has been letting Europe freeload off our military for far too long. It's not 1946 anymore they need to start carrying their own damn weight already.

That's a very fair question to ask.
And given the immense bloated defense budget, you'd think they could provide more.
That's true.

I didn't leave it out so much as just not address it because it didn't need addressing.

Don't get me wrong. I do agree that America needs a large military budget. Just not the amount it's currently at, and it needs to be divided better.

The general consensus is that there is too much waste.
So yeah, better allocation of funds and less wasteful action would directly lead to a lowered military budget.

Now, you might want to talk to the military contractor lobbyists about that as well but... that's a whole 'nother issue

Celsius is a dumb system for every day weather. The range of Farenheit is better for weather or the human body. Celsius would be good if we were nothing but sentient drops of water but we're not.

This is one area of American Exceptionalism where we're right your wrong your system sucks and if you want to force it down our throats then you suck too.

So tell me what part of "The US Weather Bureau uses Celsius" dont you understand. The US Weather Bureau is forced everyday to convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit for the radio/TV broadcasts because Yankeeland is still stuck in the dark ages and uses Fahrenheit.

If Celsius is so crap like you claim then why has the whole planet changed to Celsius. Canada and Mexico use Celsius.

The US could do what we do in Britian and use a mixture of Imperial and Metric measurements.

Up until the late 1970's it was used just as much as "Football" to refere to the beautiful game. On Sky Sports I will sometimes put on SOCCER SATURDAY for the scores.

The real reason people use Celsius is French imperialism. No joke Napoleon forced it on Europe and Europe forced it on the rest of the world.

Fahrenheit is better for everyday weather because the spectrum from 0-100 ranges from really cold to really hot and that is just better than Celsius for typical weather full stop.The spectrum of Celsius from 0-100 just means water is water which has limited range for everyday weather because human beings can't survive when temperatures get high enough to make water boil. When it comes to every day weather Celsius is a terrible system. "Bbbbut it's popular!" is a shitty argument.

Oh and the response to getting called out on using popularity as your only argument shouldn't be doubling down if you want to be seen as successfully using your point.
