Not sticking with Nord unless it magically gets better overnight.

A reliable free one that I can put on a chromecast is ideal.

not sure whats available on chromecast but i've never found anything better than PIA

ProtonVPN has a free option. How reliable the free option is...harder to say.

Protons free version is fine on my phone. Havent tried it on my tv though. I use Surfshark for that.

You pretty much have to pay these days if you want a good one. The free vpns are just free trials now that you cannot access without giving them your credit card number and requesting a refund if you dont like it.
