Kamil 02/04/24 12:35:08 AM #6:	It obviously has the ugly n64 polygon look (Playstation had this too). But I still have this strange story. Where an old friend (last I knew he was still a postal worker). He got super into Earthbound and that is the only rpg he liked. It certainly has personality. Which does help, one of the last times I saw him I just gave him my Earthbound big box for free b/c when I sold my copy a long time ago I didn't feel like shipping just a box. So this was like 2014. I said I still have the damn box you can just stop by. I forget what happened to rhe guide. It was amazing though. It was written like a tour brochure and had amazing art. I feel like I left it somewhere or traded it. Anyhow I appreciate Mother 1 in ways, Earthbound (Mother 2) is the best something at the time just made me annoyed about Mother 3 after awhile. I don't think it was the tapping music note combat. But I needed something visually darker (though I know it was a dark game behind that). --- "A lesser talent couldn't have pulled it off. I would have hated the load screens every time I entered a world in Super Mario 64 (which likely would have been called something other than 64), but we could have had Luigi. We could have had more bosses. We could have had Final Fantasy 7 on a Nintendo console and a sequel to Super Mario RPG. The Disk Drive would have given the console a little more power, and there were plans to have a Super Mario 64 sequel where you could ride Yoshi, but it never caught on in Japan and never made it to the West. <cite>FortuneCookie posted [p:978648150] in Earthbound... Carts were fun, but meh it probably did hurt the 64 at that time sticking to them. Expensive too because I think the developer had to pay for the cart whereas paying for a disc cd is nearer to pennies. Quest 64, as well as Aidyn Chronicles, I've never heard anyone say anything good about. Of course I'm probably missing some.
