Fast food is garbage anyway. It's supposed to be quick and cheap, and not be disgusting. Lately, it fails at all three of those things. Why I haven't eaten out in years.

Yep, walked into a Subway and saw that their 6 inch subs were basically $7's and their 1ft subs were around $11-$14's. There's almost no incentives to eat at fast food except to save a little bit of time from cooking. This is why it's important to do meal preps. Cheaper, healthier, and probably taste better than that greasy burger you'll get at a McDonalds.

I just wish people would stop paying these new vehicle prices too. It's insane.

I rarely eat fast food but when I do,I almost always feel like I've been cheated.

Companies realized we have the mentality that they're necessary by and large and can do whatever they want with prices now. That likely won't be fixed any time soon.

Im curious, how old are you? When you order, do you pay with a credit card? Because if so, they already have your information

Whenever I suggest use an app to save money, I always have this older generation of people who say things that you did.

Me: use an app to save money.

Old generations: its still more expensive than it used to be!

Me: theres this thing called inflation.
Yeah because using a credit card here or there is totally the same as having an app on an always-on device. I'll save more money than you by simply not getting fast food trash at all.

I'll also never understand why people are so accepting of basically everything in life being tied to a cellphone these days. It's pretty damn weird.

At that, we have to pay for it too. Figure it'd be a basic necessity by now at the rate it's going.

Yeah McDonald's prices suck now. With tax it's over $11 for a medium 10 piece mcnugget meal here. And the basic cheeseburger meal is only a few cents cheaper. That's a stupidly high price and not worth bothering with McDonald's at all.

Panda Express is pretty much the only fast food place I go to anymore. I used to go to other places with coupons, but since everywhere has an app now, coupons have disappeared. I also like PE because I can read a book without having to worry about not getting grease on the pages.

Word to the wise, everyone should own a Stanley mug. It keeps hot beverages hot for a few hours, and ice lasts up to 24 hours as long as the lid is on.

I like to make iced green tea and put it in my Stanley. It stays perfectly cool and refreshing.

It's the same food, no reason the app should be that much cheaper. Everything doesn't need to be an app.

Some of the primary reasons one eats out is a lack of time and exhaustion from work. There would be no time to cook and even if there was, they may be too tired. Best one can do in that situation is bring a hastily assembled sandwich.

Some places cost almost twice as much as they were like 8 years ago. That's a shit load of inflation in a short time. Burger King is especially expensive compared to what it used to be.

Same with Subway. They were $3 each back in 2005 for a footlong. I would usually buy 2 and save the second one for another meal.

Learning to cook for yourself, even simple things like boiling pasta, frying stuff, etc, will save you so much more money.

If you really want burgers, buy a pack of frozen patties, buns, and whatever toppings you like. You can get like, ten patties for the price of a combo meal at wherever. It will make multiple meals, taste better, and probably be healthier too.

Sure, but you need to have the energy after work to cook and meal prep. I do it sometimes and I have a set of 5 containers, so I can make my lunches for the entire week at once. But fast food is still more convenient since it requires very little effort.
