A bunch of people try to dismiss them as fake or that the victim is after money or they were set up... I have noticed these are often the very nationalist types as well
It's as if they could never be real. These people likely have not faced sexual harrasment themselves so they make you believe as if that doesn't happen.

Thats probably one part disbelief and one part innocent until proven guilty. Because lets be real here as shitty as it is that sexual harassment and abuse are things people go through its also very well enough that people are also shitty liars.

Or you know you could let due process handle it. Be a believer in innocent till proven guilty. Instead of reverting to the days where we burned witches because someone said so.

Coincidentally I was just reading about this today. Of course despite the verdict he still messed up badly, as he was out drinking and is married.

But usually it comes from people who haven't faced sexual harrasment and automatically assume there is some ulterior motives. I knew this one guy from school and he was exactly like this. He is fat and ugly and a conservative nationalist type and whenever the topic came up he always assumed the victim was after money or setting them up. He never faced sexual harrasment himself of course.
