archizzy 02/10/24 4:50:34 PM #4:	It's basically a short term layoff. You should sign up for unemployment for those 9 days. Might as well accept a benefit you pay for. I remember when I got out of the military I wasn't going to sign up for unemployment while looking for a job. A friend talked me into it and I'm glad I did it. Also I'm still employed I'm not an expert on it but my dad works for a huge tractor company (John Deere) and they will sometimes have a single day of unemployment at times and they definitely do shutdowns at certain times of the year when they have a 1 week layoff.
