There is more than just gingers that have the ability to be legitimately offended.

Name some names. I can't really think of any besides scientology, but they have done seriously horrible things. Plz note I'm not asking for ppl who have been offended. I'm asking for ppl whose entire existence became a meme through no action of their own other than being featured on the show.

Trans people have consistently been the butt of the joke in extremely disingenuous ways with South Park. And while South Park isn't alone in that depiction it absolutely has been one with lasting negative impact.

On further thought it DOES offend me because it has completely taken over Comedy Central programming. Literally every single day it's getting the Ridiculousness treatment and spammed until it's time for Seinfeld to save us.

Remember when CC had a variety of programs and stand up specials? Better days.

At least starting tonight we get Jon Stewart back on The Daily Show on Monday nights. Never thought that would happen again. Im looking forward to it.

I'll admit the only episode i know of, concerning trans, is the trans athlete one. That episode doesn't really fit the criteria as the trans in sports topic was already being publicly debated. Southpark was actual really slow with that episode. Again im not talking about ppl who just were made fun of.

It's a 100% harmless comedy show that occasionally makes a good point.

It's harmless in the sense that I don't believe (and studies back this up) a single piece of media drives people to do terrible things, but it's a highly influential show within the male teen through middle age demographic - so how much harm it does is subjective depending on how much you believe culture influences behavior and whether or not you think it's a positive or negative influence.

I would love to know one or two of the occasional "good points" it makes?

Kyles father became a dolphin.

Not offended.

The Tourette Syndrome episode had me disappointed in Matt and Trey at first, until they showed the other forms besides swearing. Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy wasn't funny to me in real time but I don't have a problem with them doing it.

Tegridy Farms got old. I don't like new Randy.

It did. But just when I think theyve finally lost touch they land a perfect episode. The one with the competing contractors who become billionaires was hysterical.

I cant remember exactly what but I do know some of their jokes were about us Alaska natives

not really offended by it but I honestly think its not very funny as a whole comedy show

You can thank Paramount + and Max for the lack of new content, now it's Rerun Central

And south park didn't offend me ever, but I was shocked to see how edgier it was compared to Family Guy lol

Nope. But it's not my type of humor anymore. The main thing that made me laugh was the reoccurring "they killed Kenny" gag.

As someone of Jewish descent, Jewish jokes on the show have never bothered me.

I always feel South Park is like a kid jumping up and down saying 'look! Look how offensive I'm being!'

And I don't really listen, and reply 'yes, yes, very shocking, now run along'.

It doesn't offend me, but I think it feeds young men some bad messages and glorifies nihilism while downplaying white supremacists and attacking LGBTQ people with tired stereotypes.

South Park, and the mentality behind it is a sort of childish one where they make stuff so over the top deliberately provocative, and then declare any criticism as "the PC/woke crowd getting offended lolz" - and it's like ...fuck off Parker and Stone, your entire show is whining about any small inconvenience to your privileged lives while relentlessly attacking public figures that "offend" them using their own stupid metric.

The only time I was offended was when the it was time for Puerto Ricans to get roasted... but they didn't actually roast Puerto Ricans. The one time I have an interest in my culture and they skip me!

the show has the most minimal effort, most uninteresting kind of political commentary that i cannot imagine why people think it's funny most of the time. it doesn't help that they reuse the same few jokes throughout entire episodes

I haven't seen it in awhile but it certainly felt more relevant than the Simpsons and Family Guy fwiw these days. I also never tried the rpgs hah I but I hear they are quite good.

I guess I don't like South Park that much.

The stuff with Chef did seem mean spirited. I think he just didn't want to do the show anymore because he felt it was offensive to his beliefs. So he just kinda went away. *smirks* this was like pre social media. I should just look it up but I am on mobile and eating and a little tired.

Essentially, Hayes got a stroke or something like that, and someone in his family took the liberty to quit the show for him without permission
