The celebration is because if they actually go through with this, it's the end of the republican party no ifs, ands or butts, all that money they spend across states trying to get republicans into various offices will now be funneled into Donald Trump and thus the candidate can't afford TV time, they can't afford to print out signs, they can't afford to rent out places for town halls/rallies, they can't afford to actually make themselves known in their district enough for republicans to come out for them compared to their democratic challenger who would likely have enough to do all of those things thus being able to get their message out to more people who don't have any opposition in their heads because of lack of funding thus most likely the democrat wins.
I wish I could be this optimistic but the average american is both ignorant and gullible. They'll think that seeing only democrat political ads and no republican ones is proof of a conspiracy by "the left" to silence candidates without thinking about the fact that Trump would be siphoning all of the RNC funds, and they'll end up voting against democrats

He didn't count on two things: One, McCain died, and two, Russian hacked the RNCs email database. He did a 180 after those two events transpired.

Former RNC chair Michael Steele has some advice for Lara.

"Wrong answer. That is not the number one responsibility of the RNC, is to elect Donald Trump. The number one responsibility is to elect every candidate who's on the ballot on behalf of the party. It is to raise money for those candidate. It is to put in place the infrastructure every candidate will need.

You are required - Lara, let me give you a little bit of training here since you want the job - you're required to organize and coordinate every state party and the territories of the United States who are in the Republican family.

And you are to provide them a platform from which you talk about what the party believes in. Oh, I'm sorry, we don't have a platform. So is that your number one priority, Madam Co-Chair? No, I don't think so. You told us it is to elect Donald Trump."

It's honely hilarious that McDaniel lost her job because Trump was already funneling their donations away; they only had 8m on hand when she was canned.

And it serves the GOP right if the RNC can't fund any candidates because they're Trump's legal fee slush fund.

Translation:

-Brag about how much money they have in the campaign warchest
-Embezzle most of it into offshore accounts
-Declare that theyre broke right before the election but blame it on a scapegoat/the left
-Repeat stolen election hoax after they lose
-Collect more loot from rube supporters

Just like last time, why mess with an easy grift?

Trump wishes he would be able to embezzle it into an offshore account. He'll be needing it to cover his legal fees.

That didn't take long.

Lara Trump said Wednesday while campaigning for her father-in-law ahead of the South Carolina primary that she was not familiar with the RNCs rules about paying Donald Trumps legal fees in a multitude of criminal and civil cases.

But she said she thought the idea would get broad support among GOP voters who see his legal cases as political persecution.

Trump bankrupting the RNC, losing the election, and then having the party eat him and descend into infighting would be the funniest possible outcome
The most cynical nugget of me deep down inside thinks it might go this way.

-Trump loses election, and the republican party deserts him en masse (finally) using his track record of losing elections (including the one that he "won" despite getting less votes)

-Trump tries to repeat his claims of widespread voter fraud, and in doing so sours everyone but his most fanatically loyal (i.e, "stupid") supporters.

-a year or two goes by with Trump floundering in the public eye as he continues getting eviscerated in his legal battles.

-then suddenly Trump has an "aneurysm", or a "heart attack", and the biggest loose end responsible for stealing government secrets is dealt with. The government's autopsy will find nothing out of the ordinary.

And that's that.

You honestly think Trump's life didn't aquire an expiration date when he stole classified documents from the United States fucking government?
