Aero was cheaper than AE. It's where I got most of my clothes until I got annoyed with being a walking billboard. Then I switched to Old Navy because their shirts have always fit me really well and they don't have any advertisements on them.

IIRC American Eagle was crap in my experience (at least in the late 90's). Clothes would fall apart after just a little wear. Abercrombie and Aero were at least better quality.

Yeah I dig their jeans, their sizes tend to work for me still. But I was an aero and AE guy in high school when I was in a preppy mood but I was always most comfortable with the classic shorts/hoodie combo

Yup. American Eagle, Abercrombie, and the occasional Aeropostale were in my wardrobe. Abercrombie stuff was all gifts from rich friends though.

Oh. Well we didn't have one anyway

Thinking of getting a suit or two of nice clothes from Buckle or Belk to wear out with my gf. Sometimes I wanna look nice for her and not like a hobo

I still wear a lot of AE. The jeans are such good bang for buck, especially since they come in odd widths. Highly underrated quality.

AE does have some good clothes that don't come across as preppy. I have a nice coat and a few sweaters from AE. They are also my go to brand of pants. I have several jeans and khakis of theirs that have that flex/stretch fit and look great.

Shit, this topic reminded me of a popular kid in high school who only ever wore Tommy Hilfiger clothing and probably had dozens or more different outfits because you would almost never see him wearing the same thing twice.

My whole life I lacked fashion and labels. I just wore athletic shorts and t-shirts. The few times I needed to wear jeans I would just buy a pair or two from the farm store. I live in the midwest in a major agricultural state surrounded by farmland and farmers so using the farm store for clothes here is quite common.

I still dress like that to this day and I'm closing in rapidly on 50.
